After a three-year stint working in open-cut mining driving trucks and tractors, Pete followed a calling to join the Army. His desire to serve at the most elite level led him to an opportunity to take part in the ‘Direct Recruitment Scheme’. A program which gives specially selected candidates the chance to attempt the gruelling Commando Selection and Reinforcement Cycle, instead of the traditional recruitment pathways into the regular Army.

Two years later, Pete earnt his ‘Commando Beret’ and joined 2 Commando Regiment. With a candidate success rate of less than 30%, Pete is one of a small group (approx. one hundred) of people who have achieved this feat. Pete went on to complete two tours in Afghanistan, one of Iraq, completed three years of Domestic Counter Terrorism duty and a number of other domestic and international training and deployment related activities.

After 12 years serving the country at the most elite level, Pete decided to transition back into civilian life. Along with his wife Amy, Pete has started, operated and subsequently sold his own businesses and has undergone formal business studies at a tertiary level.

Following his passion and focus for business, complemented by a desire to help other people achieve the best possible performance, Pete arrived at EBS in 2018 in the role of ‘Accountability Coach’. After two years of mentoring and coaching from World no. 1 Business Coach – Bruce Campbell and over 2000 coaching hours, Pete successfully graduated into the role of ‘Business Coach’ in mid 2020. Pete particularly enjoys helping businesses in the areas of Leadership and Management, Team and Culture, Cashflow Management and avoiding ‘Dumb taxes’!

Based on his studies in the Flippen and DISC profiles; with an educational background in wellbeing management and years of experience working in and leading small teams, Pete is the lead ‘Behavioural Profile Coach’ at EBS and has developed a strong passion for this area.

On the personal side, Pete spends his downtime with his wife Amy and his two children. Pete loves the gym, footy, drums, tequila and heavy metal.
