Over the holidays, I discovered a new guest in our fridge, Loco Love chocolates.
My wife and sister have both been exploring longevity and biohacking for the past six months and introduced me to these addictive little gems before I realised they were over $7 each (a conversation for another day!).
I never really bothered to understand the backstory of the business; each delectable bite was far more interesting until this article popped up in my feed this week. It was great to learn a little about the story behind the brand. The scrappy founder doing a bit of everything felt very relatable and I’m sure it mirrors the journey of many EBS clients.
But one quote in particular really stuck with me:
“Don’t sacrifice values for growth. Show up every day and do the work to the best of your ability. Success is really about how many people’s lives you can make better.”
Around the same time, I listened Tony Robbins’ most recent interview on The Diary of a CEO. This podcast never disappoints but the first 15 mins of this session in particular was excellent.
Despite all his success and the extraordinary leverage he’s built across the 100+ companies he runs or oversees, one thing came through clearly. He genuinely hates seeing people suffer. Even at 65, he’s still driven by a deep desire to serve and impact as many people as possible.
At EBS, we believe in the same principle. Success feels richer when it’s rooted in service.
We’ve been talking a lot about purpose since November, and last week we welcomed 20 business owners into our most recent Foundation event. Watching them, full of energy and enthusiasm, begin to explore their why is always rewarding.
I enjoyed both pieces of content, and I hope you do too.
Let us know your thoughts, or if you’ve read, watched, or listened to something recently that floated your boat.
Cheers,
